Our Wines

Here is a selection of our favourite wines:

White Wines

Viogner, 2007

Patriache Pere et Fils, Vin de Pays d'Oc, France
An absolute belter, a dry floral wonder, which has a serious 'wow' factor without the price tag.

Chardonnay, 2007

Runamok, South East Australia
Chardonnay to Australia is roast beef to England. You know what to expect, a slightly oaked fruity classic.

Pinot Blanc, 2007

Piropo, Libertad, Mendoza, Argentina
So fresh it reminds you of spring meadows and freshly cut grass, this is like a bit of summer joy in a glass.

Sindo Verdejo/Viura, 2007

Rueda, Spain
Elegance radiates out of this little gem - classic Spanish white grapes create a very sophisticated stylish glass of wine.

Chablis Forneaux, 2006

Burgundy, France
From the flinty mineral opening to the fantastic fruity finish, a good Chablis is a pleasure, and this is indeed one of them.

Red Wines

Merlot, 2008

San Rafael, Chile
Chilean Merlot, need we say any more - pushes every button, hits every note. A winner through and through, warming red fruits finish a great mouthful.

Malbec, 2006

Rincon Privado, Mendoza, Argentina
This is the 'Maradona' of Argentinean wines, except this time the 'hand of god' has done us English some good. Spice and depth in equal measures.

Fleurie, 2007

Chante Colin, Beaujolais, France
Feminine and soft virtues in a bottle, with a slight floral nose and a velvety texture, sounds too good to be true, almost Wendy like!

Gigondas, 2006

Fancois Xavier, Rhone, France
This Southern Rhone appellation offers excellent value and a serious wine to boot. Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre being the major players in this little French pack.

Marsannay, 2005

Domaine Dupont-Tisserandot, Cote de Nuits, Burgundy, France
Hand-crafted magic, elegance and finesse are this man's trademark. It is fruit drive, being full of finely-tuned black cherries, quite supreme.
